We are asked by many guests if we have dog friendly Suffolk holidays. Dog friendly Suffolk breaks start in North Denes and end in Saxmundaham and in total we have 50 dog friendly Suffolk holidays. Suffolk is another coastal country in East Anglia and the beaches are just stunning. One of our brilliant pet friendly sites in Suffolk is called North Denes. This is a small site next to the beach and the ideal place to totally relax. There is not much on site, however this is what guests love about the park. If you’re looking for a quiet seaside break, this holiday park is undoubtedly for you!
Not only do we have beach holidays available in Suffolk, if you have a passion for fishing, Carlton Meres holiday park is the place to go! It has its own designated fields to walk your dog in its beautiful settings. I visited this park with my dog and found Carlton meres very dog friendly in many aspects. Carlton Meres boast natural beauty throughout, with two large fishing lakes which are kept well stocked with a variety of fish. Even if fishing isn’t your hobby, due to the woodland settings and nature walks, it is the ideal site for a dog friendly holiday. This is because you and your dog can enjoy walking with an abundance of wildlife around. We have some lovely pet friendly caravans at Carlton Meres and they are extremely popular, so if this sounds like somewhere you would like to book, you will have to get in there quick! We do charge a small fee for a dog to come on holiday and this is payable at the time of booking. Some dog friendly caravans for hire allow up to four dogs. This is great for dog owners with more than a couple of dogs. If you have a service dog this would be free when you holiday with us.
We also have a full Seaview caravan for hire at Kessingland with decking that offers dog friendly accommodation. The site is based in Suffolk, only steps away from a huge beach which is great for dog walking. Undoubtedly, the park is the ideal location if you’re looking for beach holidays in the UK! Southwold is a historical town with its very own pier that includes an entertainment centre, great cafes and restaurants all of which invites doggies along too! Therefore, you can enjoy a coffee or spot of lunch on the pier with your dog overlooking the view from the pier.
On the other hand, if you enjoy traditional pub food and a pint, there are countless dog friendly pubs at Southwold which are perfect for families and doggies. A favourite pub with both the locals and visitors, would be the ‘Harbour Inn’. P:ets are allowed here so a day out at Southwold whilst staying at Kessingland is a must! Not only is it close to Southwold, the very popular theme park in East Anglia Pleaseurwood Hills is just down the road. Pleasure Wood Hills is a fantastic day out for you and your children to have a thrilling day out! There is a huge variety of rides and rollercoasters aimed for all the family to enjoy. With many picnic areas and benches, you can pack snacks and drinks to enjoy some lunch in the sun. Alternatively, if you don’t want to carry your picnic basket around all day, the on-site café offers a great variety of food for you to enjoy.

Park-Dean holiday resorts are just as popular for caravan sites that take dogs. California Cliffs caravan park is located just five minutes from the beautiful Scratby beach and has a great dog friendly pub on the cliffs. The Califonia Tavern has briliantl trip advisor reviews. The original pub was lost to erosion in 1880 but lucky for us the second one is still standing and serving glorious food including a Sunday carvery. Food is served all day throughout the summer months and there is something to suit most tastes including good vegetarian options. They have live bands every month and more in the summer season.
This park features a heated outdoor pool with flume and indoor pool, a kid’s adventure playground plus family entertainment during evenings. Superfast WiFi means you can share your holiday snaps easily via social media so your friends can see how much fun you’re all having! Another brilliant family park which welcomes dogs is Breydon Water holiday park. This is split into two sides, and we have caravans for hire on both the Bure and Yare side which are pet friendly. This park is slightly more in-land and only a short drive to the beach. However, due to its location there are some lovely areas to walk dogs. You can walk near the Norfolk Broads, across meadows and the Burgh Castle ruins. All of which are beautiful landscapes for doggy walks!
Nearby is a brilliant country-side park called Cherry Tree. Like most of our sites, the facilities are just great and there is a variety of things to do. However, this park does have some unique features compared to other holiday parks around. Firstly, the site has its very own gym so for those of you who like to keep fit whilst on holiday, this will suit you perfectly! Alternatively, you can have an extra treat or two as you can work it off in the gym. Due to the location of the holiday park being more in-land, it has its very own wildlife nature trail. On a warm sunny day, this is a fab activity for children to see an abundance of wildlife.

We only have a few dog friendly caravans at this park so if you’re looking for a dog friendly accommodation here, you will need to book in advance. And not to forget, we have the beautiful Wild Duck too. The site is unique within a woodland setting which is a great for the dogs to enjoy. This park has everything you could need on site and is only a short drive to Gorleston beach. Without a doubt, any of these parks is great for holidays with dogs.
Only 4 miles away from Cherry Tree is Gorleston-on-Sea which has a beautiful dog friendly beach and lovely cafés to enjoy a bite to eat. A very popular dog friendly café in Gorleston is called ‘Bellyboos’ and it offers incredible sweet treats, perfect for those with a sweet tooth! On the menu that offer amazing ice cream sundaes, milkshakes, pancakes and a variety of cakes. All the food includes a huge variety of sweets and chocolate, you will be overwhelmed with the choice. Without a doubt, you will love this little café however you might struggle to finish your dessert!
Hunstanton is yet again another superb destination for holidays with dogs. Lees holiday park in Hunstanton is a small site featuring a large lodge and static caravans. With the local beach a short walk away, it is the perfect place for dog lovers to enjoy. Hunstanton is a gorgeous beach holiday resort and welcomes dogs. Nearby Hunstanton is a gorgeous tearoom in Dersingham called Petals Tea Room. My family and myself just love it at Petals due to the delicious afternoon tea, friendly staff and most importantly, that we don’t have to leave out beloved dog at home. Whilst you’re tucking into a slice of cake and a cup of tea, the staff will offer your doggie a sweet treat too! At Petals tearoom they provide a warm atmosphere and very attentive service, you will not be disappointed if you visit whilst on holiday in Hunstanton.
Like most seaside towns, Hunstanton offers a variety of pubs, fish & chip venues, arcades and many ice cream parlours. However, Hunstanton hosts a variety of dog events throughout the year, making the town unique. With some careful planning, you can even book dates to enjoy fabulous dog events which take place.
Throughout the year, the town has a huge variety of doggy events and one which really appeals to dog lovers is the ‘Fun Dog Show’. This is an awesome day out for some family fun with doggies. You can experience doggy dancing displays, stalls and games, raffle, refreshment and many other activities. Providing a day of fun for those of all ages – especially dog lovers!

This holiday park is set on the coast just a few miles from Haven seashore and Haven Hopton is a haven holiday park Haven Hopton also has a dog friendly beach. Haven Caister just a few miles from Haven Seashore and a further 5 minutes from Haven Hopton with stunning beach which has a white sandy beach at Haven caister and this also is a dog friendly beach.
