February School Holidays 2022.

2021 was a year of ups and downs again. With the start of the New Year around the corner its time to start thinking about February School Holidays 2022. The early half term falls on 14th February and ends on the 18th of February. Unquestionably after the buzz and excitement of Christmas we could all do with a break away to refresh us for the upcoming year.  What better way than a holiday by the coast to blow away the cobwebs.

February Half Term Holidays

Some parks are still in hibernation during February; however, we have a good number which are open for accommodation only breaks so that you don’t have to wait for the Summer. It should be noted that February half term is classed as off peak even though it’s a School Holiday. Obviously, this is reflected in the price. With low deposits of £25 to secure what better time to book. Clearly off peak holidays will mean that facilities on site are often closed, with many great beaches to take brisk winter walks along however you wont be bored.

February is unquestionably the month of romance. With Valentine’s Day being on a Monday what better gift than a week away somewhere special. Despite it being Winter we have many beautiful and romantic breaks for you to whisk your Valentine away to. Escape to Norfolk and book a break at Violet Cabin, Wildflower Meadows. Be together – just the two of you, under a canopy of stars. Give your Valentine the perfect break away, imagine waking to the sound of birdsong from your cabin, long walks around the stunning Norfolk Countryside and discovering local gems. Finally end the day with a glass of bubbles as you sink into your hot tub under the clear night sky.

Pair your break with a visit to one of the many Wedding Fayres located close by. Hockwold Hall is a stunning manor house a short drive from Wildflower. Holidays in February 2023

Beat the crowds and book a Holiday in February 2023. Wanting to discover a new resort book a holiday in February. Without a doubt resort’s will be much quieter in February. This makes it much easier to explore and get to the hidden gems easier. Before booking the same resort as last year take the chance to look elsewhere. How about the Suffolk Heritage coastline. Carlton Meres a short drive to the likes of Southwold and Aldeburgh. Both traditional resorts have much to offer both in the Summer and Winter.


Take the time to explore Southwold, Absolutely no trip to Southwold is complete without a visit to the Adnams Brewery. Take a tour and discover what makes the brews so special. Finish the tour by treating yourself to lunch at one of the many restaurants dotted around town. Before you head home make sure you visit the famous Two Magpies Bakery and pick up a sweet treat to take back to your lodge. Southwold and the surrounding area provide the chance to go on many different walks and really blow away the cobwebs of the previous year. With stunning seascapes why not bring your camera along to capture the dramatic landscape at its best.

Winter Wildlife

In contrast to the buzz of Southwold head along the coast to RSPB Minsmere. Wander amongst the wetlands and woods, stroll along the beach and stop to observe some stunning wildlife. RSPB is the ideal place to take the family, and enjoy both the coastline and wildlife of Suffolk. You can hire explorer packs for the little ones and encourage them to gain an interests in mini beasts, birds and the like. Once you have explored all Minsmere has to offer settle in the café for something warm and sweet.

Best Holiday Destinations in February.

UK as a whole is a great destination all year round. With rugged coastlines, beautiful countryside and exciting cities there is something for everyone. In addition to stunning landscapes and cities we also have a vast array of wildlife both resident and visiting. We have compiled a list of our favourite places to visit during the Winter months.


Definitely an all year round destination, there’s no doubt that the Suffolk coast is popular choice for Summer fun, in contrast head here during the Winter for a totally different experience. Suffolk beaches take on a whole new persona; with windswept dunes, bracing winds, breath-taking waves, they are the perfect place to refresh yourself, take a walk with a loved one or enjoy a run around with your dog. Families will love Lowestoft or Felixstowe where a seaside café is only ever minutes away. If you want clear beaches for long winter walks head to Kessingland, or for dog walks Pakefield is the ideal.

Foodies will love Suffolk, after a long walk along the beach at Dunwich head to The Ship for fantastic seasonal food. Try Suffolk Oysters, although served all year round Oysters are at their best during the Winter Months. A trip to Pinneys of Orford is worth a visit for a bowl of hot fresh Oyster Soup.

Best Places to go on Holiday in February


Along with Suffolk, Norfolk offers many unspoilt and empty beaches during the Winter. However one beach in particular is off limits during the Winter months. Horsey in North Norfolk becomes home to thousands of Grey Seals who chose to come here to pup. Pupping starts around November and ends in February. Horsey is the best place to view the seals and their pups as you are able to get close without disturbing them. Although not allowed on the beach you can walk along the dunes and view from a safe distance. Undoubtedly one of the most amazing sights you will every see. Once you have viewed the seals take a stroll around Horsey windpump and drainage mill ending with lunch at The Nelson in Horsey Village.

This month is without a doubt Snowdrop season. Norfolk has many locations to walk through and enjoy the snowdrop fields. Take a trip to Blickling or Oxburgh Hall where you will find carpets of beautiful snowdrops every where you look. Whilst here visit the houses and experience life both above and below stairs.

As mentioned previously the UK offers so much to do all year round. Big skies, dramatic landscapes and a plethora of wildlife the UK is the obvious choice for holidays. As foreign travel still proving to be more difficult and costly a staycation is the answer for most of us.
