The nearby Norfolk Lavender is an attraction which many enjoy – the fragrance of the lavender as you walk amongst the plants is intoxicating. A short drive away is the historic market town of Kings Lynn with an array of culture, theatre, market, shops and places to eat. This attraction is also home to Rare Breeds Animal Centre where they have wonderful Wallabies, Alpacas, Miniature African Zebu and the very rare Hungarian Screw Horned Sheep amongst their extensive collection of breeds of rare poultry, goats, sheep and pigs.

Holidays in Heacham are fantastic due to its location. Ideally, it neighbours the well-loved seaside town of Hunstanton. Only 3 miles away, you can walk along the beach from Heacham to Hunstanton. Walking along the beach is particularly great for the dog lovers too! Firstly, your pooch doesn’t have to be left at the accommodation and can be a part of exploring the local area. Secondly, the walk is extremely enjoyable for the furry pups and they can burn off some energy. Alternatively, it’s only a couple of minutes away in the car. Differing from other indoor soft play areas, Farmer Fred’s is ideal for children of all ages. It can be tricky trying to entertain older children as well as toddlers. However, at Farmer Fred’s they accommodate for children of ages! There are tailored and individual areas for older children to enjoy (4 – 12 years). Along with appropriate areas for younger children ranging from 0 – 4 years old. Undoubtedly, a day at Farmer Fred’s is fun for everyone!

Snettisham Park

Alternatively, there are lovely days out for adults to enjoy. Only a short drive away (less than 10 minutes) is Snettisham Park,. It is an excellent day out for those who loves wildlife, in spite of age! Furthermore, the park is pet friendly. Therefore, you don’t need to leave your pooch behind either.

Snettisham Park is a working farm, spreading over 329 acres. It offers amazing experiences such as bottle feeding lambs, deer safaris and feeding calves. Apart from this, there is the opportunity for collecting fresh eggs and enjoy pony rides. Along with an abundance of animals and many nature trail walks too. Many adults love the park for its outstanding beauty, whereas the children enjoy climbing on the outside play area.
