Less than two miles away is Farmer Fred’s Adventure Play Barn. This is an extremely popular venue for families to spend the afternoon letting the children run wild on the soft play area. Whilst carers enjoy a coffee, watching the children play. It can be difficult finding places to go to entertain older children as well if you have infants or toddlers. However, at Farmer Fred’s they have tailored and designed individual areas for not only older children to enjoy (4 – 12 years) but even for the younger visitors too (0-4 years). A day at Farmer Fred’s guarantees lots of laughter and fun!
Things to do around Heacham
Only a short drive away (less than 10 minutes) is Snettisham Park, which is another excellent day out for anyone who loves wildlife no matter what age! Furthermore, the park is even pet friendly so you don’t need to leave your dog behind either. It is ideal if you’re looking for caravan holidays with dogs. Snettisham Park is a working farm of over 329 acres offering amazing experiences such as bottle feeding lambs, deer safaris, calf feeding, collecting fresh eggs and pony rides. There is an abundance of animals for visitors to meet. As well as many nature trail walks and a play area for children.
The park also offers a lovely tea room with delicious sweet treats, fresh coffee and snacks. Alternatively, you can bring your own food and drinks to enjoy a picnic in the sunshine. During the summer months, Snettisham Park hosts a ‘Deer Safari and BBQ supper’ which is unique to holidays in Heacham, and a fantastic evening.
Norfolk Lavender
Heacham is famous for being the home of Norfolk Lavender, known for its beautiful lavender gardens and distillery, a must for all visitors staying in the area! With nearly 100 acres of lavender, you can enjoy a tour of the fields and distillery, as well as visiting the on-site garden centre, restaurant and tea room. On a warm summer’s day, visiting Norfolk Lavender is a fantastic afternoon out and you can finish it off with afternoon tea in the gorgeous Lavender Lounge tea room. This is on the doorstep of Heacham Beach Holiday Park, less than two miles away with easy access.
