Highfield Grange Holiday Park is a fantastic Park Dean Resort site and is one of the most popular holiday parks in Clacton-on-Sea. Back in 2009, the Irish Twins named Jedward stole the nation’s heart with their talented voices and loveable personality. This year, on 23rd July, they will be performing at Highfield Grange! Simon Webbe, a member of the boy band Blue who sold over 15 million records is also show casing at the park in October. Two fantastic artists gives it the site that ‘wow’ factor.

Moreover, the ‘Circus of Horror’s’ celebrates its 25 year anniversary with an incredible variation of daring acts and amazing visuals.
Things to do nearby
With some family team work and collaboration, why not take on the role of being detectives to see if you can crack the code and escape! Only a 5 minute drive from Highfield Grange, Tricky Escape is Clacton’s very own escape room venue. Like any escape room, have 60 minutes to solve the puzzles in order for you to be released. This is a great way to spend the afternoon in Clacton on a less sunny day. With up to 6 family members, you can chose from 3 of the different escape rooms all with a different theme.
Tricky escapes
The ‘Magic and Mystery’ asks you to be the clever students as the grand wizard has gone missing and they need your help to find him. You have an hour to enter his magic lair to piece the puzzle together and explain his disappearance. Or perhaps you’ll chose to be time travellers however your time machine crashes which leaves you stick in the 80’s. You will need to work together to fix the machine to get you back to reality. Finally, for those of you more daring and brave enough you might chose the third room called ‘The Damned’. Unlike the other two rooms, this is for older children and adults, who will need to survive the terrifying experience and face their fears. No matter which one you chose to do, it is a thrilling experience!
Crazy golf
For then the glorious sun is shining, you can have a light-hearted game of crazy golf at Greenwards. The adventure golf consists of 18 challenging holes with entry of only £4.50 per adult and £3.50 per child making it more than affordable. After a game of pitch n putt, grab a bite to eat at the superb Greenwards Café bar which serves traditional food from all day breakfasts to sandwiches and pastries. Apart from spending an afternoon in the sunshine playing crazy golf, the Cudmore Grove Country Park in Essex is a beautiful nature reserve to visit.

Over 102 acres of land of coastal views, there is so much you can see and do at Cudmore Grove. It is a fantastic place for birdwatching as well seeing other wildlife such as foxes and rabbits. There is a children’s outdoor play area built for children to enjoy and play on. As well as the beach is full of shells and stones which you can go hunting for fossils! The nature park welcomes visitors to bring picnics and BBQ’s, so you can spend the whole day enjoying the amazing coastal landscapes.
