Clacton-on-sea
Apart from the excellent park amenities, there is lots to do in the local area. Only 3 miles away, you can walk along the shore into Clacton-on-Sea and have a family seaside day out of fun!
It is one of the most popular seaside towns in Essex and is known for its sandy beaches and amazing pier. The traditional seaside town has so much to offer and is loved by not only the tourists but the locals too. You can enjoy an ice-cream from the delicious parlours on the sea front or spend a day topping up your tan and building sandcastles in the sunshine. The famous Clacton Pier is 360 meters in length and has something that everyone will enjoy. A short drive away from Hutley’s Holiday Park is Old MacDonald’s Farm & Fun Park which is a brilliant day out if you have young children. The modern farm-yard theme park is full of a variety of familiar farm animals including goats, cows, sheep, chickens, horses and much more. There are over 20 different animals to see throughout the day and even exotic animals such as tortoises! Aside from visiting the animals, the park has so many different rides and attractions, you will be spoilt for choice. The children can enjoy a farm yard tractor ride, a doggy themed roller coaster and even a cow rodeo experience, be sure to hold on tight! Furthermore, in the Hen House you can watch a 30 minute animated show which is free with entry which is guaranteed to make your children laugh.
