The biggest theme park in Norfolk and Suffolk, Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park, is less than a 30 minute drive away from the holiday park. Pleasurewood Hills is a fantastic family day out whether you have younger children or teens as there is a huge variety of ride and attractions, tailored for children of all ages. There are over 35 different rides and attractions, as well play areas, amusement arcades, food and drink venues too. The rides include traditional fun fair attractions such as the elegant carousel and the exciting bumper cars. For those more daring, there is a 40meter high drop called the ‘Jolly Roger’ and the enormous ‘Wipeout’ rollercoaster where you will even travel up-side down! Without a doubt, a day at Pleasurewood Hills is a fantastic family day out.

Africa Alive!

If you don’t enjoy an adrenaline rush from thrilling rides, then perhaps a day at the zoo will suit you more. The incredible Africa Alize Zoo is just a 10-minute drive away from Kessingland Beach Holiday Park. The wildlife park is full of a variety of amazing animals and over 80 different species in total. This includes exotic African animals such as lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants and much more. As well as other mammals, reptiles, birds and farmyard animals too. Throughout the day there are many scheduled feeds and talks with a variety of the animals as well as birds of prey shows and even African dancing performances! For the animal lovers and those who want to get even closer to the animals, at Africa Alice they offer one-to-one interactive experiences.

This means you can take on the role as a zookeeper for the day feeding the animals, seeing how they are cared for and meet an abundance of wildlife. Even if you just spend the day visiting the animals, you will undoubtedly have a great time. You will no doubt fancy a quick snack or a bite to eat for lunch, which you can bring your own and enjoy a picnic in the sunshine. Alternatively, for ease, you can enjoy the superb food at the great café at the park.

At the plant nursery, you can purchase a selection of plants too. You can get lost in the jungle, enjoying the variety of plants and overwhelmed by the vast amount.
