Lees Caravan Park is a small independent caravan site in Hunstanton, comprising a large lodge and a smaller lodge and a variety of static holiday homes. It is the perfect site for dog lovers, and those looking for a relaxing break. The beautiful Hunstanton beach is a stone’s throw away, giving access to miles of gorgeous sand and sea. And for those looking for more excitement, the town centre, with all it has to offer, is a 5-minute walk along the promenade.

Hunstanton, known locally as “Sunny Hunny” has a wonderful seafront and promenade, funfair, bowls, pitch-and-putt, Sea Life Sanctuary and the Esplanade Gardens. Along the seafront you’ll find stalls selling candyfloss, doughnuts, seaside rock, ice creams, buckets & spades, and all the things needed for relaxing on the beach. Music drifts from the bandstand on the green at Hunstanton on Sunday afternoons in summer, serenading sunbathers and passers-by. Or maybe you could go for a donkey ride, take a trip around Hunstanton on the land train, or take a sea tour on an ex-military amphibious craft. And the Princess Theatre offers live shows, performances and events all year round.  This is a dog-friendly site.

Lees Holiday Park is a small independent site, perfect if you’re looking for a quiet weekend away with the beach on your doorstep. Ideal for couples wanting a relaxing holiday by the sea, treat your partner for a more luxurious holiday, Book the Robin’s Nest lodge.  The two bedroom lodge is spacious throughout with a modern kitchen and homely touches. It thrives throughout the summer season with the beach packed with families enjoying the sunshine, eating a ‘Mr Whippy’ ice cream and building sandcastles. It has everything you could possibly want whilst being on holiday. With amusement arcades, delicious ice cream parlours, and awesome fish n chips! Unlike most holiday resorts, Hunstanton has some unique features and is renowned for spectacular sunsets. Striped cliffs and even rock pooling! The ‘striped cliffs’ are famous for their red and white stripes which are extremely eye catching and definitely worth a visit. During your trip to see the cliffs, you can have fun searching in the rock pools for ocean wildlife and fossils! This is not something you get at every beach making the visit that extra bit special.

What makes Hunstanton Beach stand out from most seaside towns is its extremely pet friendly attitude. Whilst there are many dog friendly beaches in Norfolk. There isn’t many seaside towns which host their own Fun Dog Show! It is a brilliant day out for all dog lovers. Whether you enter your pup into the show or are there to spectate, without a doubt you will have a great time! Other than the fun show, there are so many dog friendly pubs and restaurants in Hunstanton, that you will be spoilt for choice.

Places to eat

The area is full of pubs, serving local ales, traditional food and hosts local bands playing live music. The Waterside Bar is a particular favourite pub with an outside veranda overlooking the sea. It offers a superb menu offering traditional pub food and welcomes doggies. The pub hosts live music at the weekend and thrives with a lively atmosphere.  The Hunstanton pubs are perfect if you enjoy a pub crawl with a variety of different pubs close by each other. You will be spoilt for choice with the variety of restaurants. Not to forget, the variety of traditional fish ‘n’ chip shops. It wouldn’t be a seaside holiday without fish’n’chips on the beach!

If you like more delicate sweet treats, only a short 10 minute drive away is the beautiful Petals Tea rooms in Dersingham. Unlike most tea rooms, dogs are not only welcome but encouraged. Whilst you enjoy a slice of cake, your dog will even be offered their own sweet treat too! (Dog friendly of course). Their home made bakeries are delicious, with a variety of both savoury and sweet. Visiting petals tea room for an indulgent treat during your holiday, will definitely be the ‘icing on the cake’.

Kite festival

Not only are holidays hear great for couples, but for families who want to create life-long holiday memories. Each summer the Hunstanton Kite Festival takes place which attracts over 3,000 families. It is a great day out for families and raises around £10,000 for charity. The day consists of amazing kite displays and crafts for children to get involved. The festival is a brilliant day out and something you don’t want to miss! With some careful planning, you could book a summer break and treat your family with tickets for the festival. With low entry costs of only £15 for a family ticket and free parking, it doesn’t require many pennies from the holiday fund.

Another place to visit is the awesome classical car rally with around 250 vehicles! Furthermore martial arts acts takes place, a fun dog show, trade stands, pony rides and a falconry display. Not to forget a bar and food hall providing great snacks and refreshing drinks.


Hunstanton Beach has lots to offer for families. Whilst Lees Holiday Park doesn’t have its own swimming pool, only a 5 minute walk away is the Oasis Swimming Centre. The pool opens as early as 7am until 9:30pm, giving you plenty of time for a quick dip. Alive Oasis has large indoor pool, flume and a smaller separate pool for the babies and toddlers. Within the swimming centre there is also a fun indoor soft play area, roller skating and holiday activities during the half terms. Furthermore, to keep active whilst on holiday you can enjoy a game of table tennis or squash at the Alive Oasis centre too. There is just so much to do at the centre and it is a great way to keep the children entertained whilst being on holiday.

A visit to see the Seals

For when the sun is shining, along the promenade you will find ‘The Wash Monsters’, award winning sea tours! Searles sea tours offer amazing boat trips to go on a seal safari. On the boat tour, you will get the chance to do spot some seals as well as learn many interesting facts. Moreover, Searles sea tours offers various other coastal tours in which you can enjoy the stunning sea views. This includes visiting the famous striped cliffs, the old wreck, light house and sandbanks. All of which are make a brilliant afternoon out!
