Holidays in Skegness
Just 10 minutes down the road from Southview leisure park is the traditional seaside town of Skegness. Skegness beach is a very popular location for holiday makes and tourists, because it is a traditional seaside town with Skegness pier and lots of ice cream parlours. Even though there is loads to do at Parkdean Southview, why not have a family day out by the seaside. Skegness beach is an award-winning beach with beautiful golden sand that stretches for miles. You can take the doggies and let them run around in the sand and have a splash in the sea. Take the kids their bucket and spades because they will definitely be wanting to build some kingdoms in the sand.
There is so much around Skegness for all the family to enjoy. You can take a ride on one of The Seasiders, which will take you up and down the coast in an open roof top bus. If you are looking for a full day out to entertain the kids, Natureland Seal Sanctuary is the perfect option. Natureland is well know in Skegness for rescuing and rehabilitating injured seals that get stranded on Skegness beaches. The children can take a look at the stages of the seals rehabilitation and watch the seals being fed. There aren’t just seals to learn about, Natureland also have tropical butterflies, reptiles, creepy crawlies and tropical fish in the Aquarium. You can also feed the goats in the petting corner.
Things to do around Southview Holiday park
If the weather is nice, why not take a walk around Lincolnshire Wildlife Park. Lincolnshire Wildlife Park is one of the UK’s largest animal sanctuaries. They have a huge range of birds, mammals and reptiles for you to learn about and take lots of photos of. The wildlife park is lucky enough to have two beautiful male white lions name Pascha and Uganda. There are so many gorgeous animals for you to learn more about and see how they are looked after and loved by the staff at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park. We have had many guests that have gone to the wildlife centre during their stay and let us know how lovely the park is.
Just on the outskirts of Skegness there is the Skegness Raceway. The Skegness Raceway is famous for its banger racing and stock car racing. The raceway puts on many events over the year for all the family to enjoy. They have Monster Truck Car Crushing, Car and Motorbike stunts and caravan bangers. They have events planned all through the year, therefore no matter when you go away for your holiday, there will most likely always be an event on at Skegness Raceway. This is not just for adults, the kids can also join and experience something new. They even have events for holiday makers like the holiday specials over the bank holidays. They also hold the UK Speed Weekend which is the biggest and best stock car weekend of the year. This would be an incredible day out for all the family.
Southview Leisure park
After all the excitement of your fun family day out, you can go back to Southview leisure park and have a freshly cooked meal at the Orangery Restaurant. No one wants to cook or wash up on their holiday, so sit back, relax and enjoy everything Southview has to offer. You can then go back to your accommodation and freshen up before heading back out to the Show Bar for some refreshments and family fun entertainment.

Jay said “I’ve stayed in lots of caravans/lodges and this is by far the best one yet! The space is furnished to the highest standard, the lodge is huge and in a nice location. Everything was perfect and we will stay again.” Abby said “We had two children under two with us and we found it very baby friendly. They absolutely loved the pond right at the end of the decking because there were lots of ducks! Very good location too, nice and quiet but easy to find your way around! Can’t recommend it enough!”.
