For older teens and adults, you can relax and indulge in the spa bath too. If you’re not a swimmer, not to worry as there is still plenty of other facilities to enjoy. Scratby Beach
Aside from spending days at the holiday park, the beautiful beach is nearby so you can take a paddle in the sea, build sandcastles and sunbathe to your hearts content! Scratby beach is only steps away from the park itself, approximately a 10 minute walk, which is ideal if you are looking for a holiday destination with a local beach. What many of guests love about Scratby beach is not only the stunning coastal views but also the tranquillity. Although it is a popular beach, it is tucked away from the busy seaside town so you can enjoy a peaceful day on the glorious sands without the hustle ‘n’ bustle of holiday makers. This is especially attractive for the dog lovers as it means the furry members of the family can enjoy a game of fetch on the shore too.
Not only is Scratby in Norfolk loved for its beach, the quaint seaside village has many other features which guests enjoy. The village consists of its own amusement arcades, the Pink Palace Arcade is a brilliant arcade with a variety of different games, hosts bingo every evening and has its own food stall which sells awesome snacks and drinks. There are many different seaside towns in Norfolk, one of the most popular and attracting around 5 million people annually is Great Yarmouth. Summerfields Holiday Park is only a short 10-15 minute drive from Great Yarmouth Beach, so it is in a brilliant location to explore the local seaside town. The traditional seaside resort is wonderful for a day out and there is certainly something all the family will enjoy. The highstreets thrives with a selection of different ice cream parlours, fish ‘n’ chip shops, cafes, novelty gift shops, quirky independent stores as well as well-known branded shops too.

Thrigby Hall is a wonderful wildlife & gardens park which is only a short 25 minute drive from Scratby. The conservation park is home to so many different species including endangered tigers, birds, reptiles, great apes, big cats, alligators and crocodiles. These tremendous animals are captivating to watch and you can explore the park at your own leisure whilst visiting. The park also has different wildlife walks where you can get even closer to the animals as well as providing magnificent views of the park and animals. As you make your way through the tiger tunnel and tree walk, you can be only inches away from the spectacular Sumatran tigers. The park also features its own ‘Cockatoo Café’, adventure playground areas and hosts different informative talks and feeding times for visitors to enjoy. Without a doubt, on a glorious sunny day visiting Thrigby Hall is an excellent day out for both families and adults.
Somerleyton Hall
Slightly further afield, but definitely worth the journey is terrific Somerleyton Hall and beautiful gardens. Whilst this attraction may be more suitable for the history enthusiast and adult audience, this magnificent hall is one of East Anglia’s greatest treasures. Somerleyton Hall is renowned for being one of the finest Victorian homes in the county. The impressive mansion has been preserved and rich with history, for visitors to see historical architecture and design as well as the old fashioned art and decoration of the house. It is stunning both inside and out, with exquisite gardens surrounding the hall which guests are welcome to explore. Somerleyton even has its own garden maze which has proven to be extremely popular and often more different than expected. Whilst exploring, you can enjoy a traditional English cup of tea and slice of cake at the pretty tea rooms. The homemade sweet treats are hard to resist, and you might even indulge in a heavenly afternoon tea whilst visiting Somerleyton Hall.
Norfolk Broads
