Wild Duck Holiday Park

View Caravans Lodges

Set in beautiful woodlands, an ideal park for those looking for a more relaxed holiday

Out in the woods, in between the Norfolk Broads and a country village is where you’ll find Wild Duck Holiday Park. The secluded woodland setting sets it apart from other holiday parks in the region and it’s still less than 5 miles from the sea. As soon as you drive in you are amongst the trees, with open grassy areas opening up on the left, splashy fountains and lakes directly ahead and the entertainment piazza further off to the right.

The piazza itself is a relatively new development with a footbridge over the stream leading into an open space at the centre of the pool, shop, restaurants and ShowBar. At the far end, a pedestrian (and duck) crossing takes you over the road to the multi-sports court, playground and sports range, which serves as both the park’s archery range and fencing hall.

The park is situated right by the edge of the picturesque Norfolk Broads, a protected National Park. The waterways here are best explored from the water and there’s no shortage of river cruises and boat hires that’ll let you discover it all, a little bit more each time you come to stay.

The nearest beach is at Gorleston-on-Sea just under 5 miles away, but if you go a little further north you can just as easily reach the seafront at Great Yarmouth. Not only does this town have its own permanent-built circus arena (the only one left in the UK) but you can also visit the Sea Life Centre, the local horse racing course, the golf course and ride all the rides and roller-coasters at the pleasure beach.

Wild Duck Holiday Park

Wild Duck Holiday Park is a beautiful holiday park, set in the secluded woods in between the Norfolk Broads and a country village. If you would like a relaxing holiday full of fun outdoor activities, then Wild duck holiday would be a great option for you. This park is great for couples wanting a romantic weekend away, just the two of you, enjoying each other’s company in a beautiful setting. The holiday park isn’t just great for couples, it is also real good fun for families wanting a different holiday experience.

Wild duck holiday park is the only woodland park Haven has to offer. Therefore, there are lots of activities at Wild duck that Haven don’t offer on their other holiday parks. Wild duck holiday park activities are great for children who want to try something new whilst on holiday and if they like an activity so much, they could potentially even make it a hobby. The activities are great because they’re not just for the kids, therefore the whole family can bond over a bit of Archery shooting or maybe even hire some bikes and enjoy a woodland bike ride. Other activities Wild Duck have to offer are; Ten pin bowling, Fencing coaching, Pool kayaking, Crazy golf and loads more. You will never be bored at Wild Duck holiday park.

The park also has some incredible entertainment for all guests to enjoy. In the Show bar they put on character fun time shows and FunStar production shows, all the kids will be joining in on the dance floor, you’ll struggle getting the kids to bed. If you’re an early riser then why not take the kids to Rise and Shine with the Seaside Squad. The kids can have a lovely breakfast sat with their favourite characters. This is a great way to get the kids up and out the door for an exciting day at Wild Duck holiday park. After breakfast why not join Anxious in the Show Bar for some dancing, singing, exploring and funny games. The kids will be smiling all day after such a fun filled morning.

Don’t worry mums and dads you won’t miss out on all the fun as there is lots of exciting activities for the parents. Why not get yourself down to the Show Bar in the evening for cash BINGO! You may even win some of your ice cream money back. You can then take your winners over to the sitting duck restaurant and enjoy a freshly cooked meal and not have to worry about the washing up. If you don’t want a sit-down meal with the family, you can always grab a quick fish and chips from Cook’s fish and chips bar. You don’t have to travel all the way to the seaside to get a hand battered cod and chips. You can pick up your fish and chips and take it back to your caravan, pop the telly on, kick your feet up and relax! Doesn’t that sound perfect.

Unfortunately, Wild Duck holiday park doesn’t have direct beach access as it is set in the woods, however the closest beach is Gorleston beach. Gorleston beach is a lovely sandy beach which stretches over 2 miles. Gorleston beach is the perfect place to walk the dog along the promenade, or if your dog loves the beach, then the beach is dog friendly, therefore your dog can enjoy a dip in the sea.

On the seafront in Gorleston there is a wonderful ice cream and milkshake shop called BellyBoo’s. BellyBoo’s is a family run business that stock a big range of traditional English sweets, American sweets and sugar free sweets. However, they are now known for the incredibly sweet milkshakes which are topped with donuts and muffins. If you’re in the area and crave something sweet, then Bellyboo’s is the place for you. The kids will definitely have enough energy to dance the night away in the ShowBar back at the holiday park after one of Bellyboo’s milkshakes.

After a nice day out at the beach you can go back to Wild Duck holiday park and either enjoy a fun filled night of entertainment and live music or you can relax in the accommodation and have an early night ready for another exciting day of your holiday.
