Things to do in Norfolk

Norfolk is a prime location to enjoy a Norfolk holiday. Whether you’re staying on the north coast at Hunstanton or on the East coast of Norfolk in Great Yarmouth, there’s something  for everyone to enjoy a Norfolk holiday. Did you know that you can book a Norfolk holiday on our website from 2 nights and check in any day you like which is quite unusual.

Things to do around Norfolk

If you’re staying near Great Yarmouth I would certainly recommend some places for young families such as Pleasure wood hills that is within a twenty mile radius of Great Yarmouth. Pleasure wood hills is a great theme park and great for teenagers but I found Pleasure wood hills also caters for young children with plenty of rides for the younger generation.

Norfolk Holidays

Also to add to things if you’re having a Great Yarmouth holiday you should defiantly try Great Yarmouth Pleasure beach which has again many rides including dodgems and a fun house at Great Yarmouth Pleasure beach. If you love candy floss and ice creams you will also find the traditional snacks at Great Yarmouth Pleasure beach too making it a real seaside holiday. The Great Yarmouth Pleasure beach literally sits on the seaside of Great Yarmouth.

Hunstanton

If you’re staying in Hunstanton in the other side of the Norfolk coast and want to look at what to do whilst enjoying a Norfolk holiday you may want to have an afternoon going to Hunstanton itself and any right near the beach the Hunstanton fair is awaiting you with candy floss and ice creams and the bumpy slide and waltzes as well as other great fairground rides that families will enjoy. If you walk out of Hunstanton fairground you can hop on a donkey ride on Hunstanton beach and not forgetting the very popular Hunstanton boat rides to see the Seals. Hunstanton also offers miles of beach walking with the whole feel of a seaside holiday.

Petals Tea Rooms

A fantastic place to visit if you’re having a Norfolk holiday at Hunstanton you can visit the queens house in all’s it’s beauty at Sandringham it’s a real must see if staying in Hunstanton and just a short drive and on the way to see the Queens house Sandringham I can recommend a stunning little afternoon tea shop called Petals in Dersingham. I explored Petals tea room last Easter when they had recently opened and I can honestly say it’s the best afternoon tea place around Hunstanton. Just to add Petals tea room has a amazing owner who is very welcoming and makes all her own cakes and I have been back since to Petals tea room with my family and the dog because dogs are welcome in Petals tea room in Dersingham. Once you arrive at Sandringham you will see the large gates to the entrance of where magnificence and so many holiday makers from Hunstanton visit and return because there is so much to see.

Norfolk has so much to offer and if you’re in the area and are hiring a caravan in Norfolk and Suffolk.

A lot of our customers who hired a caravan or lodge in Norfolk have enjoyed Church Farm in Stow Bardolph near Watton in Norfolk

There’s an indoor play area tractor and Farm. If you were on holiday in the Great Yarmouth area this would be about a 45-minute drive from the caravan parks around.

When you hire a caravan in Hunstanton or Heacham there’s a fantastic place called Snettsham park. We had a large family who booked a cheap caravan in Hunstanton last year that visited Snettisham park for the 3rd time in two years of hiring a caravan in Hunstanton.

There are pony trek rides, deers to see and sheep shearing and in Easter holidays there is egg collecting.

If you book a caravan break in Hunstanton or a cheap last-minute deal in Heacham just 15 minutes away is the famous Sandringham house museum and stunning grounds to view. I would highly recommend this if you are having a holiday in Hunstanton.

For many holiday makers who have a caravan holiday in Wild duck or California cliffs which is just four miles from Great Yarmouth they have enjoyed the Sea life centre in Great Yarmouth and for holiday makers in Hunstanton there is one there on the promenade too. You can use your Tesco vouchers if you exchange them and they can be used at the sea life centre. Which if you are on a cheap caravan holiday can be very handy, I have done this before when I stayed at Manor park caravan park and the vouchers saved me at least £30.

Another popular venue for people on Holiday in Norfolk is Bewilderwood last year many guests who booked a last minute break went to Bewilderwood and myself and family visited this amazing place twice and would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in Norfolk. It is magically and suitable for all ages. We have a holiday park called Haveringland where we rent a caravan, and this is just 15 minutes away from Bewilderwood and its forest and parks. So, do look on our website for the Haveringland park and you can book a weekend break at Haveringland and know your just down the road from one of the biggest tourist attractions in Norfolk.

Another favourite for family’s staying in our caravans in Norfolk with children is the Dinosaur park.

This adventure theme park is second to none for all ages and in the summer, has a splash zone to cool everyone down. Again, customers who hired a caravan at California cliffs and rented caravans at Seashore Haven made a day of it and thoroughly enjoyed the dinosaur experience.
